Here's an idea going forward...
We still have three teams available that need an owner. I'd be willing to be a "guardian" of one of them until a legal owner can be found. That way, the team can do some dealing and stay in the best shape it can be, making it attractive to a prospective owner. Since we have a trade commission, it should be easy for the rest of the league to keep tabs on how the "guardian" is handling their temp team in trades. And for drafting, it will avoid the situation of the Bills being forced to draft Bortles because of the auto-pick rules. I'd be happy to carry the Bills, for example. We would then just need two other owners willing to act as surrogates for now.
Let me know what you think.

I think in terms of drafting it is a good idea, and stops some really weird picks. I don't know if I can buy into the trading part though. Personally I find it's easier to get an owner for a team that is as unmodified as possible.

Yeah that sounds reasonable, RE leaving it unmodified...

I'll babysit a team if needed. I swear on a stack of old Playboy magazines that I will conduct that teams business as if the team was my own.
which teams are we talking about?
