The LMs and I have had a discussion about possibly increasing the number of bench spots for our teams, to give us more flexibility for trading and picking up free agents, and we want to get an idea of what you guys think before making any possible changes.
Cheers,
Sam

It will be good to add 3 or 4 new slots i think.

At some point, having too many roster spots leaves no room for intriguing pickups mid season. Given the size of our active roster, more spots could work, but I'd say no more than 4. Or perhaps for those 4 new positions, add only 2 bench and add another flex position on offense and one IDP flex. I'd rather play the players on my roster than have them sit there...

Just to clarify, by "leaves no room" I meant it depletes the FA pool too much as to make it almost useless.

I would propose to add 2 this year and another two with next years rookie draft

I also agree with Pittsburgh. Either don't add any or make them useful. We don't want the FA list to be useless. We want it to hold value. Make you really think whether it's worth it or not to drop your player, and if it is, make the decision a tough one.

I dont want the free agent pool practically worthless. I think we have enough bench slots

Ok, based on the comments and poll results, we will be leaving the number of bench spots as is.
Cheers,
Sam

But a majority 12-9 voted for a bench spot increase. IMO a poll between leave as it is and 2 more benchspots should be done! Cheers Mike

I think we should raise the number of bench spots, it would be nice to be able to hold onto a couple young players and see if they become something, where right now with the roster the way they are if a player isn't ready to play you can't afford to hang on to him.
