It looks like there has been a bit of a turnover in owners recently so i thought it might be a good opportunity to create a thread of introductions. Anyways as you can see from my profile my name is Brett and i live in Melbourne, Australia. I have been a huge NFL fan since the 90's, my first introduction to the sport was watching Troy Aikman steer the Cowboys to those championships in the early 90's. It would have been easy for me to jump on the Cowboys bandwagon, instead i chose the Houston Texans to be my team when they formed. I have since followed them and hope to celebrate their first SB with all the other long suffering Texan fans when it finally happens. I have quite a bit of Texan gear that i have accumulated over the years and wait patiently to throw some banter back at my mates who chose the usual Cowboys, Packers, Broncos, Patriots and their success since we started following the sport. I have played fantasy NFL for quite a few years now, keeper, dynasty and redraft leagues. Play on ESPN and nfl.com. I found this league by chance when i was doing some research on rotoworld for one of my keeper leagues, looking forward to a great season and hopefully the 49érs come out on top here and the Texans in the real thing Brett

Hey, Brett. My name is Sunny. I love in Jackson, Mississippi. I got into football during my freshman year of college in 2008 when I saw the Cardinals play the Steelers in the Super Bowl. Everyone I watched it with was a Steeler fan so I decided to root for the underdog. I have been a Cardinals fan ever since.
I started playing fantasy the next season and I just last year joined two dynasty leagues (both on ESPN). I have previously played on NFL and Yahoo, as well.
I found this league when Stephen, the owner of the Jets, who is a friend of mine, told me about it. I tried to join as soon as possible but there were no open spots. But when the Bengals opened up, I took them. I hope they do well this season but if they ever play the Cardinals, I will root against my own fantasy team members like nobody's business. Haha

Luke. From Salt Lake City, UT. Born and raised in Wisconsin and my real love is for the Green Bay Packers. I've been playing fantasy for the past 13 years, usually 2-3 leagues per year. I have never participated in a dynasty type league, but have wanted to for a number of years and now this is the opportunity I have been waiting for. I'm usually pretty successful in Fantasy football, so we'll see if I can manage a team for the long term.

Post by Philadelphia Eagles GM (Chris) on Jul 13, 2014 16:51:13 GMT -5
Hey guys,
Nice thread Brett, and as one of the first members of this league, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Chris, I live in York Pennsylvania. Im 2 hrs West of Philly, 4 hrs East of Pittsburgh and 50 minutes North of Baltimore. In my area there are mostly Ravens and Steelers fans, with a few Eagles fans mixed in.
Ive been an avid Eagles fan since 1986, when I was 6 yrs old and able to understand the game of football. Although my team has never been considered a dynasty and hasnt won a Superbowl, I will always love this team and root for them. We as Eagles fans were spoiled for the first time when Andy Reid became the Headcoach in 1998. With all the Divisional Championships won and playoff appearances during his tenure, he was never able to win the big one and that will be a blemish on his record in the minds of Philly fans.
Now that Chip Kelly is in town and seems to be bringing a new purpose to this team, I believe the Eagles are very close to finally winning a Championship. I know every year Philly fans think their team will win the big game, but Im more of a realistic fan and know when not to say stupid things. However, with the talent they have on their roster, the age of most of their players (one of the youngest teams in the game) and a coach with something to prove at this level, I really do believe that I will finally get to see the Eagles win a Championship (just like the Phillies did in 2008) at some point in the near future.

Thanks for the introductions everyone, such a wide and diverse group of people for around the world. Makes for a great league.
I must say i have a bit of a soft spot for Philly after Sav Rocca spent a number of years there as the punter. He was a big name in Australian football before switching to the NFL, a lot of Australians watched him play with the Eagles. I agree they are not far away from a Championship.

Im Charl from Cape Town, South Africa. Have been following the NFL since the mid 90's when the 49ers had Young/Montana. Played FF for a couple of seasons and a big time Fantasy podcast listener. Also my first dynasty league so pretty excited about this. Quite cool that we have so many players from all over the world.

Post by Minnesota Vikings GM (Tyler) on Jul 14, 2014 12:06:22 GMT -5
I'm Tyler from the great state of Iowa. I was born and raised to be a long-term suffering Vikings fan from the first games I remember watching with my brother and father, who got into the Vikings from my grandpa. I am hoping to share some of the same good memories with my son, who is due to be here in November. There's a good mix of NFL fans in Iowa, and even though I had a choice of who to cheer for, I'm glad to be among 4 generations of Viking fandom. They broke my heart in 1999-- before a girl could get her hands on it, and continue to remind me that even when everything falls into place, something drastic can bring it all down.
I got into fantasy football back in 2007, and I have been active in leagues since then. Slowly made my way to dynasty leagues in 2011, and now play mostly dynasty or keeper leagues.
I lead a fairly busy life. If I'm not helping my fiancé with her homework, prepping the baby room, working, or checking out fantasy news/stats, then I'm usually playing with my band or disc golfing. If I don't get on for a few days, it's probably because I'm busy with any of those activities. I do check my email more than a few times daily though, so I will see PMs or updates through that.
I'm looking forward to sharing my hobbies and interests with my son.

Sorry for the late response to this, but I love the idea. As you know, my name is Greg. I'm from Ohio and I'm a college student at the Ohio State University, studying to become a doctor (only 7 more years of school lol). I've grown up through many years of struggle watching the Browns and I feel that with the Manziel movement they finally might be making something of themselves. I made this league, simply because I'm in two basketball ones just like it and I thought that I'd like to give a pro boards football league a shot, rather than the boring 10-12 teams ones on ESPN. As some of you guys know I've been quite busy lately with summer with summer school, interning with our local US Congressman, and all the other odds and ends, but hopefully once he season nears I'll have more time on my hands, except whatever organic chemistry takes away lol. Also, I just wanted to thank you guys for joining the league and putting up with the long process of finding a solid 32 owners.

Hello, I'm Marty. I live in Georgia now but grew up and lived most of my life in California (San Diego, Lancaster/Palmdale) I played, coached, and have been a football fan for a long time. Have been playing fantasy for a couple of years but this kind of league is new to me...Seems like a great group of people from all over...that is cool! I am excited and looking forward to competing here.
