1. Our FA system will be a bidding system only, no draft
2. Each team will have a $100 budget to work with for the entire season (that means from the time FA opens until the end of the season)
3. Budgets will refresh at the start of the NFL Free Agency the following year. (When FA starts in March of 2015, your max budgets will be reset to at least $100)
4. Budget money can not be traded!
5. Minimum bids will start at $1.00 and each bid placed after that will be in $1.00 increments.
Example: Matt Barkley is on the FA list, I place a minimum bid of $1.00 in order to claim him. Greg than puts in a claim for Barkley for $2.00 and the bidding process continues until no more bids are placed on that player.
6. When a bid for a player lasts 24hrs. (meaning no other team has submitted a higher bid on a specific player in that amount of time), the team with the highest bid will claim the rights to that player and can put him on their active roster.
7. If you are the team with the winning bid, you must have space on your roster for that player, or you need to drop another player in order to make room for the newly acquired acquisition.
8. If you do not have the necessary space on your roster and you do not add that player to your team within 24 hrs. of winning the bid, than the team with the second highest bid will win the player at the price they bid. The team who originally won the bid will lose their money they placed on that player.
9. Use your money wisely, because if you end up spending all of your budget, the only way to acquire FA is through the Waiver Order. If you end up using your waiver order position to acquire a FA, you will not guarantee yourself the player you want. Any teams that still have money in their budgets will have the first shots at claiming FA.
10. If you are using your waiver position during the bidding process, when placing a bid on a player just state "claim" in your reply.
11. You can only use your Waiver position when you run out of money. Do not try to claim a player using your waiver position when you still have cash to use.
12. FA will consist of any rookies that weren't drafted in our Rookie draft as well as any Veterans that are not on any teams current rosters.
13. We will be using Fantrax for our league site. Greg is in the middle of creating the league site for us. Please allow some time for the creation of the league as Fantrax is pretty in depth with the amount of options a commissioner has at his or her disposal.
14. We will have a waiver order once the Fantrax site is set up, so if you are wondering what your position will be, you will need to wait until Greg finalizes the site.
15. Once Fantrax is set up and all rosters have been filled, everyone will know the list of FA available and you can refer to the league site for the complete list.
16. All FA bidding will be done on Proboards.
